We’re having our 1st ever SUPPER CLUB meet-up on Dec. 11th, this Friday night (8 - 11p) at our location in DownTown LA.
Why a SUPPER CLUB while trying to launch a “legit” restaurant born from a “covert culinary operation” from the back of an apartment in NoHo? Outside of my stock answer, “WHY NOT?”, it’s because when we started this experiment we opened up our ENTIRE foodie lives to the internet (I think we have 3-5 readers now of our blog LOL) and people were even more interested in the dishes we were making at home… so we decided to start offering opportunities to try these too. I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun I had at Day 1 of Winston Calling, the two-day charity concert series hosted by Black Francis of The Pixies, held last night at The Echoplex! From discussing Al Yankovic’s newfound comedy icon status with the weirdo himself to getting a GPOYW with Jack Black (I’ll post it next week!) to hearing the Funky Ass Flea Bass live once again, and so much more, it was one helluva Tuesday night. That’s for damn sure.
Thanks to Jen and Chris Bertrand, their family and friends, and especially Black Francis’ wife Violet for organizing such a fantastic night!
